【妖怪説明】
山梨県忍野村に伝わる。

昭見村西方寺辺より下吉田に行く途中の、愛染の森に夜になると「ほうなぜ」が出ると言うので5年もの間人通りが絶えた。
愛染の森と天神の森は相接続しており、勇気ある男が必ず切ると言い天神森に行ってみるとやはり頬をべたり、べたりとなぜられた。

おとこは一生懸命切り伏せて帰り、翌朝多くの人とともに行ってみると無惨にも葦が血染めになっていた。
いままで通る人の頬を、べたっ、べたっとなぜていたのでいつか悪気がこもったのであろうという。

「愛染の森の怪を斬り伏せ　無惨の葦の血染めなり」

【HOUNAZE】
It is handed down in Oshino Village, Yamanashi Prefecture. On the way to Shimoyoshida from Shomi-mura Saihoji-be, Aizen foresti was said to appear at night, so for five years it was completely deserted. Aizen forest and Tenjin forest are connected. When a brave man went to Tenjin forest, he was stroked on the cheek.
The man tried his best to kill himself and returned home. When he went back the next morning with many people, he found the reeds tragically stained with blood.
It is said that because the reeds were biting the cheeks of passers-by, they must have been filled with malice.
